Cut: Where Brilliance Begins
Of the four Cs, cut has the greatest effect on how a diamond sparkles. It describes how well the facets are proportioned, aligned and polished to bring light in and return it to your eye.
In a well-cut diamond, light enters through the top, bounces between the facets and exits as brilliance, fire and scintillation. In a poorly cut stone, light leaks out of the sides and bottom, and even a perfectly white diamond can look dull.
We cut every Quorri diamond to Ideal or Excellent proportions, so each one is made to capture and return as much light as possible.
Clarity: A Clear View Within
Clarity describes the tiny natural features inside a diamond, called inclusions, and any marks on its surface. The fewer there are, the rarer the stone and the more freely light moves through it.
Clarity grades run from Flawless through Included. Most inclusions are invisible without magnification, so a stone doesn't need to be flawless to look beautiful.
Our diamonds are selected at VS clarity or better, which means any inclusions are very small and difficult to see, even under 10x magnification.
BEAUTY IS IN THE DETAILS
Colour: A Pure, Icy White
Colour grading measures how colourless a diamond is, on a scale from D (completely colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The less colour, the more white light the stone reflects, and the rarer it is.
Differences between neighbouring grades are subtle, and many are only visible when stones are compared side by side. The most prized grades, D to F, have a clean, icy look that suits any metal.
We offer our diamonds only in the colourless D to F range.
Carat: Weight, Not Width
Carat is a measure of weight. One carat equals 100 points, so a half-carat diamond is 50 points. Larger diamonds are rarer, which is why price climbs quickly as carat weight rises.
Carat weight isn't the same as size. Two diamonds with the same weight can look different, depending on how they're cut. A well-cut stone often looks larger than a heavier one with a shallower cut.
