How do I choose the right center stone size?

Does carat weight tell me how big a stone looks?
Not entirely. Carat measures weight, while the shape of the stone changes how large it appears from above. Elongated shapes such as oval, marquise, pear and emerald often look larger face-up than a round stone of the same weight.
Why do larger lab diamonds cost less than mined diamonds?
Lab grown diamonds are created in a laboratory and priced lower than comparable mined stones, so larger carat weights are more accessible. For example, a 1.00 carat round PURE® lab diamond with F colour, VVS clarity and ideal cut is offered at a fraction of the cost of a comparable mined diamond.
