Tests Positive For A Diamond
A diamond tester is a thermal conductivity meter that will detect the rate at which heat moves through stones and will tell you whether it is a diamond. Because of the high carbon content and similar heat signature, Aterna® will test positive on most diamond testers.
Passes Fog Test
Diamonds effectively conduct heat and therefore disperse heat quickly. If you place a stone in front of your mouth and fog it like you would a mirror, if it stays fogged for a couple of seconds, it’s most likely not a diamond. Aterna®, like a diamond, disperses the heat from your breath instantaneously and won't fog up.
Passes Transparency Test
A diamond refracts light so intensely that you cannot see through it. If you’re able to read the letters of the newspaper—even if the letters are a bit blurry, its most likely not a diamond. Aterna's facets will refract and bend the light so sharply that you wouldn't be able to see the print, thus passing the transparency test.
