The second and final layer on the Quorri DymondIX^® is known as the SP3 Carbon Layer, a patented coating of 89% SP3 Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) that seals the TiO2 Optical Layer and gives the DymondIX its incredible diamond-like hardness.

Our advanced application techniques evenly distribute the SP3 Carbon Layer around the full 360 degrees of each DymondIX stone, surrounding it in complete protection. This allows the DymondIX to achieve impressive resistance to high temperature, abrasion and micro-scratches.

The SP3 Carbon Layer also ensures that every DymondIX^® will sustain a durable outer layer hardness of 9.1 overall Mohs, a mined diamond being 10.

Together, the TiO2 Optical Layer and the SP3 Carbon Layer unite to create a stronger, even more brilliant alternative, nearly identical to an expensive cut diamond and tailored exactly to your heart’s desire.
